On to step two. The driver has somehow survived the surgery, with a bit of physio he should be ready for the race in June.

The steering designed to be a working system, revolving the steering wheel. We’ll see how that works out.

It’s a long time since I tried my hand at painting a driver figure and it shows.

I sprayed the wheels semi Matt black, cleaned up the tyres a little, and applied the Pirelli markings.

Next, painted the brake discs silver (the instructions said black, but that didn’t seem right to me).

Added the wheels.

And the wheel nuts.

Next I had a look at the body, lots of flash and sprue feeds to clean up, and two big sink holes to fill and sand. I couldn’t resist taking a couple of mock up photos.

I’m also thinking of having the RH door open.

What does anyone think?

Both ways the car would look amazing, although I personally would go for the open door option.
In the end it is your car and whatever your decision is, it will be the correct one.
