Now I shaded the pieces. Let it dry outside on the first real sunny day of the year. The primer was matt black from the rattle can. My son likes it! The imitated cast steel surface came out nicely I think, I used my dremel yesterday to roughen the whole up a bit more. Cast steel faults are quite common, or at least in the 1930-ies when these assemblies were made.

Next is the anti-shad using white and red oxide for the interior and then the German Grey main base color.

Some final assemblies and detail painting on the chassis, also dry-fitted the wheels. Looks ok to me although I struglled adding the individual link plastic tracks, in a next life I will build the kit with metal tracks if available 😉

I am not an armor person but I was wondering if those wheels were fixed and perfectly aligned in real, shouldn't each wheel have its own spring mechanism and therefore no perfect alignment?

This is looking great, @michel-verschuere, I’m sure those wheels wouldn’t have been in perfect alignment in real life, surely that’s why there’s so many of them.

I found a way to align the road wheels (11 each side). I thought to first cut a V-shape piece of paper and then clamp it in the setting wheels with a piece of 1mm balsa. This is doing the job. Prior to this achtion, I weathered the inside of the lower hull sides because they become inaccessible afterwards.
