This figure, from the Lord of the Print on My Mini Factory, is an amazing sculpt called "Flying Dragon". I'm going to paint this as a Green Dragon with an Asian theme.
Trying to match the texture at the seams is always a challenge. As long as it's close, it's invisible when it's painted.

I started with a grey primer, then added a speckle coat with a dying can of white primer which looked really cool. I then decided to add a bit of an olive green base to at least get everything going in the right direction.

Pale tannish green wing membrane... There will be a dark brown/green wash applied over everything that will tone it down, darken all the recesses and tie the greens together. Next, I'm going to use a similar tan for the underbelly.

Chest/belly painted a bit more grey green. The horns, facial feathers? and main back scales are painted with a dark bluish green.

Some brighter green added to the facial features.
Vallejo brown wash mixed with Citadel shade paint Biel-Tan Green... more brown than green but the green pigment is quite strong.

@fiveten, @johnb - Thank you both! It's fun to paint without any right and wrong.

The face needed something, so I tried a pale green with dark yellow shade. I think it helps call attention to the dragon's face now. Once the teeth are painted, that'll help a lot as well.
