A set of Rosewood grips for my 9mm Beretta model 92FS...ain't they 'purdy'?

I have some beautiful stock grips on my Smith & Wesson Model 629, .44 magnum. I fired it for the first time today with factory loads. I am a big guy with big hands and I found the grips made it a pain to shoot.. I couldn't keep a tight grip on it when it fired. It seemed to just wiggle around in my hand. The sharp corners on the pistol-butt gouged into my supporting left hand. As the say up north, You betcha I'm going to invest in a set of combat grips.. Sometimes function has to triumph over form.
