    Your Nieuport is looking great, John. Great work on those little PE control horns.

    @j-healy, thank you, John. Lets see if I can get a control cable connected to it next.

    Yesterday was a not so great ending to my modeling evening. After all struts were applied and dried sufficiently, I tried to mount the upper wing, in the beginning all went well, but during the final adjustment the entire model slipped my fingers and trying to rescue it, the upper wing including the struts collapsed. Besides the machine gun nothing else got damaged.

    Started the rescue mission this morning and after some cleaning up, re-mounting, all did get together again quite nicely in my opinion.

    Also made a start with connecting the control cables of the elevator. I have to say that I'm pretty happy how the EZ-line behaves. Quite easy to work with.

    Great save, John! I dropped my SSW at about the same stage that you dropped this one. Nice recovery, thus is looking really good.

    @j-healy, thank you, John. Checked this morning and so far the upperwing mounting feels quite solid. Lets hope it will stay this way.
    @fiveten, thanks a lot, Spiros.

    I'm sorry I have not checked in lately. We have been very busy with cleaning up our yard after the hurricane went through a few weeks ago. We have been burning leaves and tree branches. Thankfully it is all done now, so hopefully I will feel like working on a model now. I was too exhausted to do both. We had a lot of debris to clean up, including helping out some of our neighbors. No damage happened to our home and no one was injured, so all is well.

    I am happy to see that you have recovered your Nieuport 17 after accidentally dropping it. I have had similar experiences myself.

    By the looks of things, this one is almost ready to hit the headlines section !

    It looks fantastic too !

    Take care my friend.

    I think your rescue mission came out great, John (@johnb). I think we have all been in similar situations trying to save a crash. The E-Z Line looks great. I have rigging looming in my future. :o)

    @lgardner, glad to hear that no one was injured and no damage to the house, Louis. The rigging might still require some time to get it done nicely, especially with my skills on this topic.
    @gblair, thank you, George.
