@j-healy, thank you, John. The PE helps a lot in this.
@tcinla, thanks a lot, Tom. Still some challenges up ahead.
@gblair, I should be able now to give more focus on the Nieuport and the Mosquito.

John, this is a fantastic build so far, should end up a 1st class model.

@firelockg, thank you, Ian. Not too sure about that, I'm still not comfortable in building bi-planes.

The front side of the fuselage is painted Fine Silver (Gunze SM201 according Eduard) for which I used Vallejo 77.724 (Metal Color Silver). The rear part of the fuselage is done in Vallejo Silver 71.063.

Next I did some pre-weathering on the wings with the technique as used by Ian @firelockg, accenting the ribs with a pencil and softening the looks with a damped q-tip.

Next I painted the lower surface of both wings with a 12:1 mixture of Vallejo 71.001 (White) and Vallejo 71.089 (Light Sea Blue).

Great progress John, the photo of the upper and lower wings together really hi-lights the small size of the Nieuport's lower wing.

The Vallejo Metals look great, John (@johnb). The wing color looks right on.

@firelockg, thanks, Ian. That lower wing is even less than half the size.
@gblair, thank you, George. A lot of white was required with just one drop of light blue to get this soft blueish tint.

WOW ! This Nieuport is looking great ! I especially like how you have painted the camouflage on the wings. The metal colors on the fuselage also look very good. Everything looks very professional indeed.

I am looking forward to seeing your next installment.

I hope to have another update on my Nieuport 17 soon. I was waiting for the oil paints to dry on the wings.

Plus I ordered a nice circle cutter and the necessary equipment to go with it. I want to use it to make painting masks for the national insignia.
