@j-healy, thank you, John. A pleasant build so far.
@gblair, thanks a lot, George. I tested the landing gear and it seems sufficiently strong.

Mounted the Vickers machine gun and some extra PE at the landing gear.

@firelockg, thank you, Ian. The biggest challenge yet to come.

I guess that you mean fitting the top wing, I always worry about that process.

PE looks great, John (@johnb), but I bet it wasn't a lot of fun to glue in place. Looking forward to the extra wing and rigging.

@firelockg, indeed, fitting the upper and the rigging will be a challenge for me.
@gblair, thanks a lot, George. You won the bet, I'm always struggling with that CA glue to get the PE parts nicely in place.

    Wheels attached.

For the rigging I'm thinking about trying thin jewelry wire, 0.25-0.3mm (0.1"- 0.12"), saw it on the net and it looks pretty nice. Does anyone have experience in using that.

Tried to give the wooden propeller the laminated look. This is the result, dry fitted to see how it looks.

@fiveten, thanks a lot, Spiros. Maybe not the exact right colors but it gives the idea of the laminated structure of it.

John, you might find that .2mm rigging wire is a bit large for 1/48 scale, I know a few modellers who use that size for 1/32 , I myself use Modelkasten .2mm or .2mm monofilament fishing line for rigging 1/32 and in the past EZ line .13mm on 1/48. Check with the expert scale people what is the proper size for scale. If you use Gaspatch 1/48 turnbuckles the .2mm sometimes will not go thru them.
