Hey all was looking for alternatives to Vallejo Airbrush cleaner, and thought others may have some cool ideas and tips for cheap alternatives to model products.

So I saw a cool recipe for Vallejo airbrush cleaner -

Glass cleaner with no ammonia or windshield washer fluid
    Distilled water
    Glycerine
    91% isopropyl alcohol

    Directions:
    Windshield Washer Fluid - 50% OR Windex - 30%
Fill almost to the the with water
    Glycerine (10-15 drops)
Top up with 91% Isopropyl Alcohol (or denatured)

IIRC Tamiya Airbrush Cleaner is the same formula as Tamiya Extra Thin (Quick Setting) and can be used interchangably.

Obviously using Extra Thin to clean the airbrush is a big waste of money, but buying the Airbrush cleaner to use as a glue should last a very long time.

I've heard this one @scalerambush, haven't tried it yet but when my Extra thin is done will definitely get the airbrush cleaner rather. Thanks for adding.
