Lots of good detail work on this car, Simon, I agree, masking is a pain.
Were they called "Waiting for Moses baskets"?

Well hello everybody, may I take this chance to wish you a belated Happy New Year.
As you can see, it has been to long with out any work been done.
This was due to the festive period and apathy, plus bad weather too I may add.
Today I got up and hit the bench, a fine but chill day but not much wind, great, fire up the airbrush.

I started with the engine but knocked on of the inlet manifolds off, OH B****r.
    Never mind, carry on regardless.
A light coat of Tamiya X 19 did the trick.

Then on wards, a quick flush out of the trusty airbrush and next up the cockpit tub.
A coat of Tamiya XF 69 N.A.T.O Black was applied to said piece and a bulkhead too.

A quick f*g and coffee break then more spraying.
Added some Tamiya XF 27 Black Green and some XF 63 German Grey to the N.A.T.O.
Black what was in the pot and sprayed this little lot.

Time for a stroll, out to get some milk etc in.
Back again , this time out with the Alcad stuff.
Gloss Black Base this time, applied to the suspension parts.
Another quick coffee and smoke, then back to the bench.
This time loaded up with Alcad Polished Aluminium ALC 105.

After a fine tea, I un masked the chassis, then took the pics.

Just to add, a pic of the seat.

    Any comments welcome.

So, what's happening with this, Simon, has the bad weather brought the project to a halt? I'm keen to see this finished as I'd like to build one of the Fujimi 1/24 road car kits, maybe a Lamborghini...

Over three months , dear me. That long since I posted on this build.

Well not a lot to report.

    Just a bit of painting.
Tamiya Dark Iron, sprayed over a few panels to add some contrast.

The centre console was brush painted, to awkward to mask easily .

The roof liner has also given a touch.

The air box got it`s next colour, more to go there.

And at last the dashboard is finally sprayed, just some detail painting to carry out.

I will try to post a bit more now.

    Well here is the update.

First, a couple of coats of Gloss Black Base.

After that, a couple of coats of Alcad Chrome.

The tail pipe + mirror faces.

I noticed a couple of pin marks on the mirror faces, damn, so will have to go back to that/them.

    The main head lights.

    And the tail lights.

The loud and anchor pedals, as well as the passenger panic rest were given a coat of Alcad Polished Aluminium.

Them I spotted another error, I had missed a bit of one of the wheels, damn again.

But I hope they come out like the other wheel parts.

Not sure what to tackle next.

    So catch up later.

    Well time for an update.

Time to fit the rear suspension and engine.
    Here are the parts ready.

    Drive shafts fitted.

    Then, the exhausts.
And left to set for a while.

Then the tricky bit, fitting the engine and rear wheel mounts.

The upper wishbones? were fitted, along with the anti sway rods?

And as she looks now, a waiting rear wheel arches and suspension units.

    Take care all.
