    LLooking amazing, my friend @brithebuilder!
    No orange peel is evident from here.

    @fiveten, thanks Spiros. There is definitely some orange peel, it's just not noticeable in the photos. The reflections across the surface are pretty scattered. A few good gloss layers and some super fine grit sanding and then polishing with Tamiya polishing compound should take care if it.

    @fiveten - Thanks Spiros! The headlight body is installed into the shell. The LEDs have arrived. I should be getting them together tomorrow.

    Now that I've cut the front grill apart and replaced the fake mesh with PE mesh... I notice that there is a large flat attachment point right behind where the grill will sit. Hopefully I won't damage the blue while removing it. It's always something.

    Almost time to mount some LEDs. I sanded the whole body with 4000 through 9000 grit sanding sticks to knock down the orange peel... then I polished with Tamiya Fine and Finish Compounds, then applied a layer of Meguiar's Ultimate Protectant and the surface is quite amazing. Still not perfect, but perfect and I don't really hang out, so it works for me.

    I really fight orange peel effect myself. Will have to get around to polishing too I guess.

    @airbum - High grit sanding and polishing definitely helped... car wax may be an alternative as well... I may have to try that someday myself.
    @fiveten - Thanks Spiros!

    OK, headlights are illuminated... I used Starbond Medium CA to start and a little bit of Zip Kicker to set them, then I surrounded the area with UV Resin and hit it with a UV flashlight. They seem to be set in stone basically. I will need to paint the backs black for light blocking but it worked really well. It was an experiment, but there was no reason in my mind why it wouldn't work. They're quite bright in a dark room. The next challenge will be hiding the wiring. As I build the chassis, I'll find out what my battery options are.
