Those disc brakes do look very realistic, Gavin @snowman

I’d never have the patience to do those discs, I tried to replace the chain on the Honda Monkey I made but gave up, you can hardly see the chain on the finished model anyway. Keep up the good work on this one. I’ve just ordered the new Tamiya Moto GP Suzuki, but delivery is very slow due to the Covid lockdown we’re having here in China.

Wow Gavin - this is looking fantastic so far. I love the detail up sets you got - they are so hard to find and so expensive in South Africa, but I'm on a mission now - after seeing how they look on yours I must try get some. Bravo - fantastic work.

Finally decided to put down some colour on my Ducati build and did some impromptu experimenting with the Alclad colours, using a flat black base before applying the dark aluminium for the engine block and applying the gloss black base before the bright silver candy base then the candy red. I'm really chuffed with the results.
    Thanks for looking!

I’m back… in the famous words of Slim Shady!

Well, I have laboriously dragged along with the painting and have cooked up something I like to call, “Ducati in a bowl” with a bit of an Asian twist.
Couldn’t decide if I was using chop sticks or fork, so I decide to just start assembling it.

Here are some imaged of the engine + chassis + radiator assy.
Anyway, as you can see I have been having some fun with the Ducati build!

Thanks for looking, till the next update! :vulcan_salute:

Hi Gavin @snowman, just thought I’d post a couple of pictures of my Panigale. I built it a few years ago shortly after Tamiya first issued it, and I reorganized my display cabinet this week. I’ve never posted it here because my good friend Richard McStay beat me to it. I used aftermarket decals as this was before Tamiya released the Tricolor version. I also added Tamiya’s front fork set and added some etched brake discs and rear hub details, but I’ve forgotten where they came from now. The decals are showing some hairline cracks now. OK, that’s it, I’m really looking forward to seeing your completed model.
