Knowing that my daughter loves the looks of the Toyota GR Supra, but not being able to purchase a real one, she decided to buy this alternative as a birthday present for me. With this, she knows that I'm happy with the building process and she will be happy with the result.

After making a side step twice to motorcycle modelling, this will be my first four wheel vehicle build. From my experience with the Tamiya motorcycles, I'm confident with the quality of this Tamiya kit as well.

This is the kit that I'm talking about.

It is decided that it will be built in the blue color.

Instructions are well known from Tamiya, clearly described and well detailed.

A start with the rear suspension has already been made with the help of my daughter by cutting the parts from the sprues, I still have some hopes that she might get affected with the modelling virus.

That will be a nice build John. I have good memories from the Mazda MX5 from Tamiya I built for my daughter.

@hptiggelaar, thank you, Harm. The kit will not be the issue, likely the troubles will be introduced by myself. šŸ™‚

Not really my kind of car, @johnb, but Iā€™m sure it will be a great project for you to share with your daughter. Happy birthday!

@chinesegeorge, I'm not a car builder myself, but I think it is good to give another subject a try from time to time. Hopefully I can convince my daughter to become a modeller as well.

You can't go wrong with a Supra, in scale or 1:1 @johnb! That looks like a nice kit and I'm confident that you will do a stellar job on it, John! šŸ˜ƒ Looking forward to seeing this one develop! šŸ‘

@garybrantley, thanks you, Gary. With Tamiya you hardly can go wrong, except when I'm dealing with it šŸ™‚

Not much that you have to do to build the wheels. Just cut the chrome rims and attach the tires.

    Nice set of wheels, @johnb.

Very cool, John (@johnb). We must think alike. I just got the Tamiya 1/24 Nissan Fairlady 240Z to build. I don't know if I will get to it this month, but it is definitely coming soon.

With help from my daughter, the Toyota is progressing at a nice pace. The rear suspension is installed as is the exhaust system. Some elements at the underside and within the wheel wells had to be painted in chassis color.
