Looks like there are still some cases where pictures cannot be uploaded, my friend @chinesegeotge. Hope the issue will be solved soon and see your work.

Here are the components to make the rear shock absorber:

I’ve painted the metal spring yellow. Sorry, not much else to show you at the moment as I can’t get the other pictures to upload. Happy modelling.

I seem to have lost the thread to this WIP, what with the difficulties in posting pictures, and one thing and another. Anyway, the shock absorber has been assembled and installed in the rear swing arm. The swing arm, main frame, and front forks come with a plated metal finish in these kits. I know that many people choose to strip off the plating, using oven cleaner amongst other things, and apply their own metal finish. The coating looks good to me, certainly better than anything I could do.

Here’s a photo of the frames assembled with the engine installed.

It’s necessary to remove the chrome from the areas to be cemented of course, but everything fits perfectly. The engine is attached with four screws. The screws seem to be magnetized making it easy to locate them using the supplied screwdriver.

I’m sorry if I’ve missed out a few steps, but I can’t find the pictures now. More to come. Happy modelling and thanks for looking.

Nearly forgot, I’ve also added the rear light assembly, luckily my spare transfer collection gave two rear reflectors, better than just using red paint.

Spiros @fiveten and John @johnb, thanks for your continued support and interest, where would this site be without you two. Anyway, here are a few more pictures of the engine in the frame:

, and another of the rear light assembly:

Now onto the exhaust. It’s a fairly simple 4 into 1 design with a big silencer and a single tail pipe. I sprayed it silver and then went over it with a light coat of titanium gold and painted the main silencer black

Tamiya kevlar-look transfers for the silencer:
which I gave a coat of clear once they had settled down:
It took a couple of goes to download those.
That’s it for now, more to come, happy modelling.

Coming together nicely, my friend @chinesegeorge! One is able to admire Yamaha engineering by looking at those pictures showing the engines mounted in the frames.
    Great job on the exhaust!

OK, let’s get the exhaust finished, a little bit of black panel liner around the joints and rivets and some black paint inside the tail pipe:

    And it’s fitted,

no need for cement it’s such a neat fit held in place by one tiny screw. Spiros @fiveten and John @johnb, thanks for your continued support, more to come, happy modelling. It still took a couple of goes to download these pictures from my iPhone @martin @techsupport.
