Thankfully the postman turned up trumps today, more essential supplies, including those elusive brake pipes.

Spiros @fiveten, John @johnb, Rory @rory, Erik@airbum, Allan @kalamazoo, thanks for your support, these should be finished before the end of this month, happy modelling.

Your motorcycle store is an adorable one, my friend @chinesegeorge! "George's Motorcycles" it is, then! Nice progress and a wise thought to cater for a passenger at the red R1. I remember an advertisement for a single seat Ducati (if I recall well) some time in the early 90s, labelled: "Sorry girls..." 🙂

Great progress on the fairings, George @chinesegeorge. Great to see the postman even delivered on Sunday.

Hi Spiros @fiveten, that advert probably wouldn’t be allowed in today’s politically correct society...

Hi John @johnb, China is mainly a seven day week country, Sunday is much the same as every other day. In fact, we don’t really have a postman as such. Our community has a delivery office, if an item arrives for you you get a message on your phone and you have to go and collect it. Luckily the office is only a two minute walk away.

OK, the two Yamahas are finished and ready for posting in headlines which I’ll do sometime this week. Many thanks to everyone who followed, especially Spiros @fiveten, John @johnb, and Rory @rory. Here’s a picture taken today at George’s Motorcycles. Happy modelling.

WOW! They came out really wonderful, my friend @chinesegeorge! What a duo! Looking forward to the headlines posting(s)!

P.S. I was digging into my classic Tamiya Suzuki Katana last night: though by absolutely no means a bike modeler, I was really amazed from what was offered by Tamiya back in 1982. I am sure this kit is now a classic and the newer bike kits are wonder kits, but, still, this one is so "Tamiya"...

Soon to commence work on it...

P.S. (2) The idea of creating a "Motorbikes" GB is also dancing in my mind, despite the fact that the subject is not too popular here (or might it be?)

P.S. (3) My sincere apologies for the prepositions usage, I know I do not use the right ones, this has always been a major issue in my English... 🙂

Hi George, The blue one looks especially good. Can't understand a bike that has a seat any colour other than black...LOL. Great result on a dual build. Spiros, bikes are great! and if you know what a preposition is, then you are doing just fine!

Thanks, Spiros @fiveten, don’t worry too much about the finer points of grammar, your English is excellent. I’m looking forward to seeing your Katana, I’m sure that with your modelling skills it will be a beautiful model, is it one of these?

I’m not sure about a group build, but I guess it’s worth a try. Happy modelling.

Indeed, it is the first one, my friend @chinesegeorge! Here is the kit, held (or, should I say, guarded?) by my QCs...

    🙂

That’s a beautiful bike, Spiros @fiveten. I have a friend back in England who has owned every Katana and the 1100 was his last, I think he still has it, his first was a 650 with the registration number “NOT 650 Y”, that was a 1982/3 model.

I remember the impact the first Katana made: I was a high school student back then, when Suzuki decided to treat us with Hans Muth's design transferred to the production bikes with practically minimal alterations, compared to the 1980 prototype. Mechanically the bike was definitely modern, not too edgy, but THOSE looks...

Thanks, Rory @rory, I might talk out of it sometimes but I can’t see out if it, so I don’t mind what colour the seat is, but I suppose black goes with anything.

    Great looking R1's, George @chinesegeorge

Although equally great, I would choose the blue one if I had to but it for real.

I did own a couple of Suzuki bikes of which the GXS-750EF was the best one I had.

Looking forward to a motorcycle groupbuild.

@fiveten, your 1100 would be great to see it in the proposed group, if the guardians will let go of it.

Thanks my friend @johnb. Hope the guardians will release the Katana!
