"The response to my group build has been staggering." @dlee
Wheels flattened and touched up, some detail underside painting as well:
Look great! Looks like the fit was very good as well.
Looks great, Spiros (@fiveten). Looking forward to the weathering.
Thanks my friends @davids_models and @gblair!
Fit was good, especially taking into account how elderly the kit is.
Here is the DUKW, in the middle of the weathering process: some rust and black wash applied:
Next some pastels dirtying to follow and onto final coat.
Thanks for stopping by!
The weathering looks great already Spiros @fiveten Nearly there.
Pastels applied, some corrections here and there...
Thanks my friend @johnb! I was ready to apply the final mattish coat by hand, but I chickened and restrained myself from doing so... Airbushed it shall then be, hopefully tomorrow, my two little monkeys, errrrrr, sorry, little boys, permitting!
Monkeys come first, Spiros (@fiveten). Your DUKW needs some mud and dirt...it looks too new. :o) Talk about elderly, Scalemates says this kit dates back to 1966. I was in high school in 1966. I guess that make me elderly.
Thanks my friend @gblair : I might walk the extra weathering mile! You can never weather a DUKW too much! I was born in 1966, which doesn't make particularly young either!
Great build of this tiny 'boat', Spiros @fiveten. Quite some detail for such a small model. Good to see that the seventh wheel is mounted as well 😉 .
Thanks my friend @johnb! Glad you followed my thread!
