If you want to share your finished models just use the highlights. If you want to share a full story about how you are building it just use the WIP Groups namely work in progress-aircrafts if the subject is an airplane.
Starting a new group altogether makes sense if you feel there are other members that share your enthusiasm about the topic. But keep in mind that usually group builds have a timetable, meaning they start and end in specific dates.
