This was a Christmas present last year and I have been quite keen on building it for awhile. I plan to do it nearly OOB with the kit decals for Paper Doll. The snarling cat mouth is by far my favorite Hellcat scheme. While nearly everything is there in this beautiful kit, I did get the Airscale IP to add sharpness of detail to the cockpit.
Will also invest in some canopy masks. This will probably be a slow build, being so complex. The gloss blue finish will be a challenge to weather but I have a few ideas. We will see. Hope this will interest some. We had a fantastic FAA version of this kit appear on iModeler a little while back (by Mark Kannemeyer). I hope my less talented efforts will measure up to that build in some way.
