1. Eligibility - who can join?

All entrants must be registered users of iModeler.

Unless otherwise stated, entrants must be 18 years of age or older.

The contest is open to residents of all countries.
Note: postal or custom restrictions may apply in certain countries outside of North America, Europe, Australia, Japan and New Zealand, see below.

Th editors, other staff and judges of iModeler and their families are prohibited from winning any prizes awarded in our contests.

2. Submitting entries

Participants must submit their entries using the Article posting function at the Headlines page of iModeler.
Note: You must log in to the site to access the posting functionality. Once you do, you will see the "Add new article" button at the top of the Headlines page.

The above procedure is the only way of entering the contest. Entries posted within discussion forum threads in the Groups area, send by e-mail, published with the help of the editorial team will not be considered.

Incomplete or incorrect entries will not be considered and may be removed at the editor's discretion.

Entries must be posted within the specified contest period.

A participant may submit any number of entries. Multiple articles describing the same model (like in a multipart building blog) will be treated as one entry.

3. Valid entries

Each entry must at least provide three elements:

• a descriptive title,
• suitable text content giving some description of the entrant's work.
• legible pictures
  Other specific entry information may be required, if specified in the contest announcement.

Entries must be self-contained articles. Entries consisting mainly of a link to another site or a post in discussion forum will be disregarded.

Entries must contain photographs of scale model(s) produced by the entrant. By entering the contest, the entrant certifies that all scale models show on the photographs are solely of his/her own making.

In-progress builds are allowed to participate.

Models which have previously been awarded at iModeler will not be considered as potential new contest winners.

Winners of a major iModeler monthly award and title may not be awarded the same title again during the period of 6 months following their win.

Photographs which have previously been posted at iModeler may not be used again in contest entries.

4. User commentary

User commentary and ranking gathered by the competing entries will be considered by the jury.

Entrants are allowed to actively encourage other people to rank and comment on their entries to increase their chance of success.

Entrants are not allowed to produce or induce scam, spam or fake comments. Doing so will disqualify the entrant from the current and all future contests.

The jury has a right to disregard spam comments and comments which are obviously not in par with the qualities or the model on display.
