Downham Market Show
Every year, West Norfolk IPMS (UK) hosts a show at Downham Market. It's a large-ish regional show and attracts about fifteen clubs and a dozen or so traders.
Our club did well this year, with firsts in the Armour, Figure, and Aircraft categories, and a Best in Show as well.
I include here a few random images from the club tables.
Of interest, too, was a purchase I made of a pencil with a wax core. A Japanese product, you sharpen it and use it to touch-lift photoetch parts. I suspect there's something similar in art shops, but it looks handy. Also, the uploads here are the first I've tried with my iPad since downloading the Camera+ app, and it seems to work, with no upside-down images!
The photos turned out well, Rob...as did the plethora of subject matter. Thanks for sharing them.
Nice pics Rob, with some lovely subjects too, thanks for posting mate.
Some nice looking models there, Rob, looks like you and your fellow club members had a good day out.
Nice pics Rob ,looks like a good day,I had to smile at the old chap in the background in #19 with his flask and butties on the go :).
N,
Some things never change.
Just spotted in #11 is that the corner of an Airfix HMS Victorious I can see ? if so do you have a picture of it in full as I am currently working on that ship myself .
N.
Sorry, Neil. I just took a shot of the large scratchbuilt ship in the foreground, so nothing more detailed with the Victorious.
Thanks for the posting. Always a good thing to see what the folks across the pond are building.
Yes a couple of nice scratchbuilt ships on show.
Nice photos Rob, lots of talents, there.
I miss the UK shows, always so much to see. Some lovely work on display there.
