Review: Tamiya 1/12 Kawasaki Ninja H2R – Kit Review
This is the 1/12 scale Kawasaki Ninja H2R made by Tamiya. Kit number 14131. This kit was released in late 2016.
Upon opening the box you are met with multiple part sprues in plastic bags. There are eight bags total including the decals, clear parts and tires.
The actual model sprues come in gray, black and what I call an off-blue light metallic. These are very crisp with little, if any, flash on the initial inspection of the parts. Instructions are in English which makes it a bit easier for me.
Decals are very crisp and clear as they should be with something this new. Inventory of the parts was simple. Very easy to read all of the letters and numbers on the sprues. This will make construction quite easy to follow.
There will be a full build update when this model is completed.
As always, feel free to ask any questions!
Hi Harry...since you asked, I DO have a question. I took a look (again) at your blog here and noticed you apparently build bikes exclusively. Do (or have you) dabbled in any other genre (cars, armor, aircraft, etc.?). You do such a nice job with the motorcycles, I figured whatever else you might have done would be equally as good and maybe we could convince you to post a few if you have 'em.
Yes, I have built other models. I prefer motorcycles since there is really not "set-in-stone" way to build them. I don't have many photos available, especially those that go from start to finish but I'll see what I can come up with.
Hi mate, I've got this one in the stash also! It looks like a great kit, looking forward to starting it soon!
Keep an eye open for the build write-up. It will be forthcoming relatively soon.
🙂 ... Greetings ... 🙂 :
Very nice and well detailed model ( very much expected from TAMIYA ).
Looking forward to your build Harry.
