Video: Hasegawa 1/48 SBD-3 Dauntless

Probably one of my quickest builds in that I didn't start on something else during the build or spend any time away from it for whatever reason - a first for me!

The canopy didn't 'nest' like it should, so I had to omit the gunner's section and the pilot's sits rather awkwardly over the fixed centre section, but hey-ho and all that!

Oh and I still have to figure out a way to put in some brake lines on the wheel struts as I stupidly rigged the antenna first, making it very difficult to work on the underside of the plane. I don't know, these rush jobs! 😉

The eagle-eyed among you may have also spotted at the start, that in addition to the other aftermarket bits 'n' bobs, there was also the Quickboost Liferaft and container set. Unfortunately, due to the Aires Cockpit - and bearing in mind that Quickboost is part of the same company as Aires - the container wouldn't fit, so I had to leave that set out. Anyone want to buy a 1/48 Dauntless life raft and container...? Didn't think so...
