Hey, if there had been an Eduard set when I did mine, there wouldn't have been an instant's doubt. That was two hours and the air over the workbench was a deep royal purple with flashing lightning bolts by the time I was done! 🙂
I just stopped by Spit and Hurri to get eduard masks! Let alone the ‘greenhouse’ you are dealing with, John! I agree with Tom. Life sometimes needs to be easy. Looking great by the way!
The new generation of Airfix kits are simply amazing for the money. The Whitley is a great example, even having a wing spar to ensure a snug fit and correct dihedral.
This is a great thread and a terrific build.
Thanks for the looks, guys. I’ll be working on turrets today. The spars are a nice feature in these kits.
Coming together nicely John!
I was able to do some painting today. Lightened Humbrol #102 for the Dark Slate Grey top, Floquil old silver for the gear bays. Tommorow, I’ll do the topside Extra Dark Sea Grey camo with Humbrol #123.

Camo added...
Finished the main painting today. This thing will go fast now.
It is another great scheme you are taking on, John! And doing it very proficiently indeed. Looking forward to the run in immensely!
The word outstanding comes to mind. Well done and this one is really starting to look the part. You don't see this type built up, and having a Coastal Command finish makes it even more spectacular.
I like it. A lot !
Thanks Paul, it’s coming along well.
Decalled the Whitley today. Weathering next up.

Getting exciting now, John! Love the scheme, and decals always give a hint of how it’s going to look in the end. This is clearly going to be a cracker!
Liking it more each time John !
Now your really cooking ! This looks better and better each time I stop by to check it out.
Fabulous.
