Hello again This is an old work, started some months ago, with the intention of building one of Beurling's Spitfire Mk.Vb, TL. Chosen kit: Airfix 1/48 new kit. Good kit with nice fit, apart from the cowling. Some pictures below :

Looking really hot, nice camo work.
Nicely done, Bogdan...I like it.
This looks great ! I'm currently building a Beurling plane too, and possibly another Spitfire from Malta. I'll be looking forward to your next installment...
It sure looks good from here! I bet it will turn out one of those models we all wish we could do.
Question: what is the color of the code letters TL? Ty
No one knows?
Hi Bogdan. I think it is a source of great debate. As you say I am not convinced anyone knows. It has been written that in some cases the numbers looked as if they were grey, but Malta spits may have been painted over with a thin wash of whatever paint was available to dull down some of the camo schemes. The pilots in some cases are said not to have liked flying the desert scheme over the sea. But others will say different and it is a minefield.
So, if I go white/light grey it will be OK. Thank you
