Nicely prepared and painted, Spiros @fiveten
Thanks my friend @johnb! This black takes ages to dry (don't know why 🙂 ), so it will be possibly tomorrow that I will resume working.
I wonder why it is just the black that takes a long time to dry, Spiros (@fiveten)?
No clue, my friend @gblair. One of life's mysteries.
Top extra dark sea gray applied...
Nicely uniform painted, Spiros @fiveten
Thanks my friend @johnb!
Masked and ready for the lighter gray...
That's a lot of masking, Spiros @fiveten What happened to the tape on the starboard wing.
Thanks my friend @johnb! The greenish tape on the starboard wing is a big leftover piece from my Hellenic Sabre that I trimmed and reused (too big to be ignored by my "El Cheapo" personality 🙂 ).
Very nice progress, Spiros. Looking forward to seeing your completed Banshee. I sold my HobbyCraft kits at the last show, but kept my Academy Banshee since it had the nicest decals. Yours is looking very good.
Thanks my friend @georgeswork! Yeah, my decals are not that good, main issue being the off-registration of the roundels. Let's see how it will go.
Started applying the light gray, found some imperfections that need attention, so another filling and sanding round is on...
Here she is puttied, the phantom seam always present...
A pity you needed some additional corrections, Spiros @fiveten But better at this stage than at the end. Good progress.
