First shot at a group, so here goes. Kit was kindly donated to me by my modeling mentor Bob, who does 1/48.

Going to be in the scheme of the warbird "Canucks Unlimited" that flies out of the Canadian Warplane Heritage in Hamilton ( https://www.warplane.com/ ) using Trident Decals.

I have done some work on the kit, and will post those photos soon.

Did a fair bit of work prior to starting the group, so catching up:

    April 12 - 22: Building the cockpit:

Cockpit details won't be very visible through the narrow windscreen, so I cut the seatbelts out of the Eduard packaging for US belts, saving the photo etch for open cockpit fighters. I also lost one of the pilots' steering wheels to the carpet monster, replaced it with curved wire (again, won't be too visible). Cargo compartment painted matt aluminum, Tamiya panel line into the grooves and used strips of extra fine grit black sandpaper for no-slip walkways.

That's a lot of details indeed, Aldo @aldog
A pity it is not visible anymore, but at least you know it is there.

There's an old story about an elderly stonecarver working away on a little embellishment in an obscure corner of the cathedral that the congregation never has accessto.. His younger colleague asks him why he's putting so much time into something no one will ever see. He replies "God will see it. So I guess this one is for the gods of modeling.
    Also good practice.
    Cheers

Top of wheel wells painted silver and dirtied with Tamiya panel liner. Like the oil tank detail. Aldo like the wing spars - should make for sturdy attachment. Airfix has cleverly molded the landing lights into the spar for a nice touch of detail
