😄 Good news I am not alone, my friend @aldog : my wife tells me so, too (among "similar" comments, of course 😄😄😄).

Just catching up on your C-47, Aldo (@aldog). Nice work on the interior. It will be hard to see, but some of it will be visible. Looking forward to the rest of the build.

Real life getting in the way of modeling. Should be back at it this week.

The Airfix Dakota/C47 is indeed a very nice kit.

    Just a few "Gotcha's" thought:

Make sure there is no paint on the mating surfaces, everything is very tightly toleranced.

The engines are a bit of a poor representation of a P&W R-1830.

The exhausts are easily drilled out to represent the R-1830's big pipes.

The propellers are a pretty slack fit on the shafts.

Watch the fit of the wings on the mainspar,it is slightly too tall, mine needed adjustment on the port wing.

Both ailerons have a trim tab moulded in,there should only be one one the st'bd aileron, none on the port side.

All the control surfaces are fabric covered and the Olive Drab tends to weather and fade on them more than the

    aircraft's skin.

All in all though, the Airfix Dak is a peach and looks every millimetre a Dakota/C47/DC-3.

Indeed, life always finds a way to interfere, my friend @aldog. Good part of modeling is that you can always puck things up from where you left them.
    That's a really nice C-47, Mark @miggers!

Rookie mistake: thought the back of the air intake curved to fit the nacelle behind the cowl. Glued it on. Then tried to sand the front part to fit. Realized I had totally misplaced the whole assembly. Had to use solvent to unglue it, plastic card to rebuild the front section. Must pay closer attention to instructions and reference photos.
