I added the 3 fuselage pylons, and continue the filling/sanding loops, as to come to a more or less homogeneous result. Here she is now, sloooooowly approaching the painting phase...

    Thanks for stopping by!

    Thanks my friend @johnb!
The 2250ltr fuel tanks are as long as many 1/48 models!
It will take a few mini loops of filling and sanding, before heading to the paint shop, as I seem to find imperfections here and there!

    A more homogeneous result...

...meaning we can slowly head to the paint shop!

    Spiros, @fiveten

It has been a while since I have looked at your build journal. By the looks of things, you will be painting more very soon. It is really looking good, and I would like to know how the first test flights go ... 🙂

Yep, upon black drying, it will be masked and "Desert Sand will be applied.
Test flights: well, a few have been commenced, those utmost tips of the wings and fin are "repaired" 🙂
    Thanks again, my good friend!

Maybe out of focus, but clearly a black radome, Spiros @fiveten.
    Finally painting has started.

    Painting continues...

Started to apply "Desert Sand", some sanding imperfections have already appeared, so another sanding will be spot-commenced upon paint drying.

Typically, "Desert Storm" Tornado external tanks were painted Desert Sand, but there were cases where RAF gray ones were worn (possibly due to not having the time to be repainted?). I thus took the opportunity to add some "interest" to the nice but nevertheless monotonous Desert Sand model, and painted the 2250ltr external tanks a lovely RAF medium gray. Here is the progress so far:

The grey tanks will give a nice contrast to the sand colored Tornado, Spiros @fiveten.
Paint work looks great already, for sure you will get those imperfections fixed.

    Nice work, Spiros @fiveten.
The camouflage clearly shows its effectiveness on that surface.
