Airfix 1/72 F4F-4 Wildcat

This is the last part of my final pair. Using the Airfix kit & once again Starfighter Decals USN at Midway sheet 72-136, I will be modeling the aircraft of Lt(jg) Art Brassfield of VF-3 who shot down 4 Val Dive Bombers defending USS Yorktown against IJN Hiryu's first strike.

Very nice Rick !

I was really captivated by the last colorized photo of Rob's "Friday Breifing" which had Wildcat and Devastator planes on the deck of the "Big E". That's when I decided that I would try to knock out a Tamiya F4F before the deadline.

I will be watching your progress on this one too !

You can't go wrong with the Tamiya Wildcat, I've built 3, all of them went together great.
