Cleaning out a cabinet I fond this. A Minicraft 1/144th DC3, I did this build about 18 years ago, was pretty proud of it. It has since lost some pieces and I dont know where the display I made for it went….which is to bad because is was kinda cool. I lost part of the wheel brace and the port Prop :(. This was way before I became the Bike Queen 🙂
Just posting to show i did indeed build other things 🙂

Still looks impressive after all those years, Cricket @bikequeen
@johnb thanks John it was fun, simple, but fun. :). Had to glue the wheel, tail wheel and prop back on…was upset I could find the other prop
My aircraft knowledge is limited, Cricket @bikequeen, but this looks pretty cool. Is it a Dakota?
@chinesegeorge as far a s I know, may AC knowledge is limited too, they are the same plane but the Brits called it “Dakota”. I also vaguely remember one being a cargo plane and the other being passenger….but I have no idea if thats true or not. I’m sure someone will answer this question better than me 🙂
So, you have been a closet airplane builder all this time, Cricket (@bikequeen). Very nice looking DC-3.
Excellent job on this DC-3, my friend @bikequeen!
@fiveten thank you Spiros
Still looks great after all these years.

I found the showcase I made for this model 🙂

A really nice showcase, Cricket @bikequeen Did you build that yourself as well.
@johnb I did :). The one corner is a bit rough but it was a cool idea 🙂
Well done, Cricket (@bikequeen). Nice model, and the display case is also really nice. You need to build more planes to take some breaks from bikes.
@gblair funny you say that George, i have been looking at my 1/32nd Trumpeter A-10 but I dont think I have the right paints for it
Hi Cricket @bikequeen, one problem with aircraft models is the display space they take up, that’s partly why I got into 1/12 scale bikes. Nice job on that DC3 by the way.
