Airplane was loaned to RAF by 12th AF and only partially repainted in British colors.

That's a nice little kit John, goes together well and has some very good detail in the cockpit. The only thing I added to mine was a seat with hardness attached. Did it in the various ocean and sea greys. You'll have fun.

Lots of folk not seen this before - add me to that list. It looks like a great plane to build!

I started my Tunisia/Kasserine project. Here’s proof! Not having built one of these AM Mustangs in at least 22 years, I forgot how simple they are. I also got reminded how lousy the clear parts are.

I added some tube that will simulate the lights in the leafing edges.

Keep it up John, they build up rather quickly, should look great when completed. Since my F-6A came with two sets of clear parts, I'm going to attempt to cut the canopy and display it in the open position.

Almost ready for paint. Some say these loaned planes were fully repainted in RAF colors, others claim that a simple addition of a Middle Stone disruptive pattern over the US olive drab was done. I’m going with the Middle Stone over OD/Neutral Gray.

Nice choice John, good to see Allison engined Mustangs represented

Funny how, for all the research, we cannot be absolutely certain about precise colors. In the end, having fun trumps it all...
