Calling the upper surface done, next will be masking and painting the lower surface.

Hello all.Much too late to build for this group, but I have a question:What color was the upkeep bomb?I have the Tamiya kit,and I have seen the bomb as black, green, rust, and gray colors.Which is right?

@jkwalton, from what I have read and what I saw on the one being on display at the RAF museum in London, they were painted in very dark green. Since this is a restored one, I'm not sure if it is the correct color.

Masked and painted the lower part of the aircraft black. This a large area.

Most of the masks removed after applying the black camouflage.

As you may have noticed, I didn't do any masking on the fuselage windows. Instead of spending a lot of time on cutting masks or applying masking liquid, I decided to give it another approach. Primer and camouflage were simply sprayed over the transparant parts. After that I gently removed the paint with a sharpened toothpick. To be honest, it did go easier than expected.

Looking excellent so far, my friend @johnb! Great result on the small transparencies after your scrape-off trick!
