Very interesting, Wes @avispa93 Let's hope you will be able to find the meaning of these codes, searching the internet might indeed be the best approach. A great anecdote from your granddad.
-
Really tricky, my friend @avispa93. The mystery codes should refer to some sort of specific assignment or mission or so. If nothing comes up, how about seatching the net, finding B-24 dedicated sites and contact them?

Going through my grandpa's effects the other day and found a framed photo of his B-24 Liberator's crew with his medals. It's difficult for me to take a photo because the glass is very reflective (I'll add it […]

A pity the barrel broke off, Bernard @lis This definitely can be repaired fairly easy with your skills. Progressing nicely.

@ssgt @kahu @luftwaffe-birdman @fiveten @johnb Brass MG in belly position. Kit has right clear part to use for single MG under belly. But there is no information in manual.

Pity for the broken barrel but such things happen, my friend @lis! Great progress!

@ssgt @kahu @luftwaffe-birdman @fiveten @johnb So as usual one barrel was broken. This one that I had extra add after drilling nose glazing. It drive me crazy! So I decided to cut it near nose glazing. I […]

Looking good, I have discovered recently that women's make-up sponges make great masking material. @Lis, I used them in open windows, wheel wells and the engine nacelles. For me a lot easier than tape.

Nice work on the engines, Bernard @lis

Great progress, my friend @lis! Nice that everything fits!

Masking these beasts is always fun, Bernard (@lis). Even if you get an Eduard set of masks, it is still difficult to get everything sorted out. Almost ready for the camo. Yeah.
-
@ssgt @kahu @luftwaffe-birdman @fiveten @johnb Engines and wings assembly. This edition from 1991 has better moulds and there was no gaps in cowling haves after assembly. I think body of the resin engines are […]

Excellent step, my friend @lis!

@ssgt @kahu @luftwaffe-birdman @fiveten @johnb Finally all was closed in nose. Right gun port was drilled.
-
Nice work on the turrets, Bernard @lis
-
Excellent job, my friend @lis!

Masking all of the windows in a B-24 is a real challenge, Bernard (@lis). All of your planes have really well-rendered and crisp frames, so I know these will look great.

Those guns look like detail I usually associate with 1/48 kits. Overall this kit is being a banger of a build.
