@lis, getting closer to the finish line indeed, but still some work to do.
And finally some work done on the Lancaster. Exhaust stains applied.
Stains look great, my friend @johnb!
@fiveten, thank you, Spiros
Very very nice! Vallejo ?
@lis, thank you, Bernard. Indeed Vallejo Air.
Started with the decals. With the Fw190 beside it you can clearly see how big those Lancaster were.
Decals look great on, my friend @johnb!
@fiveten, thank you, Spiros. Maybe you noticed already why I chose the AJoG combination 😉
Looks outstanding !
I should get me a Lancaster kit. I am pretty sure I have never built one unless I was very young (and it would have been the old Airfix molding). It is an impressive looking plane especially when parked next to the FW190.
@lis, thank you, Bernard @clipper, she is indeed big, Carl. Not easy to handle.
Lots of 'silvering', not sure if this is the correct wording, on the large fuselage decals. Does someone has a good advice on how to get rid of this, if still possible?
Pity about the silvering, my friend @johnb. Our friend @tcinla advises to carefully make "cuts" with the hobby knife onto the silvered areas, basically on the complete decal and flood it with decal softener. The softener will run under all silvered areas and fix them. Maybe this will help...
P.S. You may also VERY CAREFULLY try running the Xacto through the engraved lines, this will allow the decal softener running more efficiently underneath, my friend @johnb.
