    Nice work on the windws, Lis @lis
    The machine gun will be a fragile part during the rest of the build.

    Yes John. But in this version there is no option to glue it in next steps of the build. I’m worried about one window in the front part of fuselage because it donz’t look so perfect that I want. Photos later.

    Here's the Tamiya 1/48 Lancaster I did back in 2018. This is the plane flown by David Maltby, who broke the Möhne Dam, done with Xtradecals for the markings. (I still have the H-K 1/32 Dambuster to do - something that will happen now that there's no one to argue with here at Le Chateau du Chat about hanging it on the wall in the living room when completed).

    Here's a really good documentary on the making of the movie:

    Following you guys with great interest! Is anyone doing the latest Airfix Lancaster dambuster kit by chance?

    New Airfix kit needs a lot of putty and sanding to close fuselage. Very upset.
    @fxrob

    Great job, my friend @lis! Interesting that the new mold Airfix needs so much putty!

    @tcinla Looks fantastic!

    @fiveten Thank You! maybe I can't do something, because some people on YT assembled the hull without a problem. Next problem will be part over front turret. It don't fit well also. Also machine gun in open psition fell out. I think I don't use it. It is impossible not to missed it or breake barrel.

    Surprised as well by the gaps of this new Airfix kit, Bernard @lis
    You are doing however a great job to get the gaps smoothened.

    Some small bits. Engine to rotate bombs has interior green leg tips because it will be visible in cockpit floor.

    After all evening work. A lot of sanding and putty event. This part I need to fit over front turret. But Turret is able to move anyway, so I’m happy. I hope it will be look smooth.
