Dear Lis @lis, i can tell you are really thorough with your research before you start building. I am not on that level, i choose one option and trust Airfix they did their research. If 90% is correct and mistakes are not obvious, i am happy with it.

@fxrob Research is very fun job for me I’m really curious how many details I could find. It was big surprise for me about FO nose Bombardier window. I was sure that FO made one type in this characterical shape. But I checked B-24 M Academy kit in my stash and yes! There is one extra window on each side and it is quite big one (I will try to make photos of this part). B-24 has a lot of options and changes during building in many factories. As I checked Vaillant Lady has different front compartment waist window and don’t have extra armour plates. But if Airfix it made as it look. I will not worry about it and build Vaillant Lady.

Hi Felix (@fxrob): The new B-24D is listed as a "2025" release, so who knows exactly when it might be coming?

Distribution is always like magic, Felix (@fxrob). I know that the online hobby shops in Europe always seem to have Airfix a month or more before they appear in the US online shops. And some of the releases seem harder to get here than in Europe.

Hi Bernard (@lis). I have that same thought. There are some Airfix models that never seem to get here.

Pre-shade looks great, Felix (@fxrob). The paint does look a little too yellow, but it might give you some interesting tones if you spray some white over the yellow in a blotchy pattern? Painting and weathering is also my favorite. Looking forward to the next step.
