    Capt R.(@lis), things are moving forward. With each post and photo you can see improvement. It never is fast enough. I really like the idea of consulting with other modelers. Reading your posts and reading the responses of other members is always an education and your efforts are not lost on this modeler.

    not to be too nice in the last phase of assembly I found a chip of paint above the star near the window. fixing it took all evening until late at night (and you can still see something there). sanding, polishing, painting with black primer. pre-shading. nightmare! At the end to muffle everything re-aging of the national stars, and of course two coats of clear. Nothing like unwanted work. always at such an advanced stage I consider it bad karma of the ex-wife who hated models.

    You are very conscientious, Bernard (@lis). I think I would have covered it up with some weathering and moved on. That's why your bombers will always look better than mine. :o)

    Time to take off masks.

    @johnb @fxrob @gblair @fxrob @stephen-w-towle.

    PS. As You saw Some OD mist go on left fuselage star decal. I try to hide by my finger in glow, but on the edge paint went under. I try to make all weathered look to reduce this visual imperfection, but I will not change this decal. No way! This is impossible now.

    I think everything looks great, Bernard (@lis). I wouldn't worry too much about paint problems that most of us can't see.

    Bernard, the nose section and cockpit glazing are sharp and crisp. The framing is precise of box-top quality, like the photos seen on the side of your kit's box. The good things far outweigh those little imperfections. George (@gblair)and Spiros (@fiveten )have hit the nail on the head. The real aircraft in theater doing bombing runs would have lots of scratches, dings, dents, and dirt, with ground crews who had little time for paint touch-ups slapping on paint. Your stars and bars mistake has happened. It's all been said and done before, and your model can have that imperfection and still represent a B-24. It's good to go.

    Thank You @stephen-w-towle @fiveten @gblair

    Few details more. Flaps looks great but when Wellington jumped on other side of table flaps fly on floor 😅 Too much details gives sentence: don’t sneaze if You want all details on plane - just reguled with CA Glue.

    Your liberator has a very smooth finish, love that Bernard @lis. Very nice chipping on props and guns! And the turrets look great, by the way.
