All of this looks great Felix (@fxrob). One way to do the bulged windows is to make the shape on acrylic rod, initially keeping the rod long enough to hold onto. One the bulge shape is to your liking, then polish it with finer grades of sandpaper, then a plastic polish, and finally a coating of Acrylic floor polish (or similar).

Then cut the part from the rod and carefully sand the gluing edge to fit the fuselage. Fiddly, yes. Difficult, perhaps, but doable, certainly. If you can make a miter jig and have a razor saw, you can cut the rod square, minimizing the amount of filing needed afterwards. Or use a Dremel motor tool and cut off saw blade if you have one.

Update (1/5/2024) - Had to edit this comment because I was not paying enough attention to the actual author of the build. Sorry about that.

I was suprised to see the 'Sharon D' in this line up. Sharon was a long time tour volunteer for Collings from the early days of the "All American" paint job, through Witchcraft. She and her husband Jim spent weeks with us as we traveled through California each tour season. Her dad, Leon, named his B-24 after her...a legacy she was fiercely proud of. Unfortunately she passed in 2019...but she sure did a lot to honor her father. I've been watching this build and kicking around getting this kit and doing Witchcraft...you're doing a beautiful job.

@clipper This is so great idea! the only problem is to find a suitable thick frame for the transparent parts. They are usually quite narrow.

@jimh I like Sharon D paiting too. Especially with green tail. It will be great to tell story about Sharon D.

@fxrob Could You check what type of bombs Airfix put in to a box?

Sorry for the late answer, @lis. I would also choose foil proof.
Dear Jim @jimh, thanks for your personal insight! I just got back from the mountains and will pick up the build soon.

Back to the Liberator after a week off! Lots of sanding is required, but it’s really all my fault i am afraid. The cockpit canopy is a tiny bit too high, so i am going to carefully sand it down. Did i mention i hate sanding?

Try to use CA Glue as putty.

Good work on the sanding, Felix @fxrob
In my opinion the least favorite part of modelling

Good advice! By the way @lis, these are the only type of bombs provided:

John @johnb, what i dislike about it is that it’s mostly hit or miss with my skills. Like with the seam in the picture. Any advice on how to sand are greatly appreciated 🙂

Great job so far, my friend @fxrob! For those nasty seams you need to fill/sand /repeat a couple of times. You may also try using cyanoacrylate as filler if the seam persists.

I second Spiros (@fiveten) comment. I am having the same issues. It's a process of repetition. I've read where some folks use a black CA glue to fill seams to better see things. Some folks use a product called Mr. Surfacer. You can brush it on or spray it on. It acts as a finer filler/primer after the CA.
Regardless of the seam issue, the photos show some real progress.

@stephen-towle I use both CA Glue and Mr surfacer.

@fxrob, unfortunately I have no other advice as mentioned by Spiros @fiveten. Repetition is the key word. Sometimes acrylic putty is helpful, at least to me.
