use the space between the bomb bay wall and the first wing spar. PS. Do you close the windows of the side gunners' compartment?

Indeed a pity to close up this beautiful work, Felix @fxrob
At least you know its there and you still have the pictures.

Purchase some lead sheets from Amazon. It can be bought inexpensively , is very heavy, and can be formed into a variety of shapes.

Small progress last night. I am showing the entry door at the bottom of the fuselage to show the amount of detail Airfix have put into this kit. To me it's a winner. With some small parts being painted already, i needed to make a decision regarding olive drab. I don't huse Humbrol anymore, but I have some different hues and i think i am going with Ak Interactive 11863 in order to replace Humbrol nr. 155.

Very nicely detailed indeed, Felix @fxrob
11863 looks perfectly fine as a replacement.

John @johnb, Spiros @fiveten, merci mes amis! I have to admit, i am very upset with myself. I closed the fuselage and something just did not close properly in the lower aft section. I reopened the plane twice! It just would not fit - but i looked up build videos on youtube and the kit has perfect fit. So it must be my fault. Very upsetting because now i have to do unnecessary surgery.

I am sure you will work the misfit nicely, my friend @fxrob.

If all that is wrong are the angles of the wing spars, and they are okay in height from a ffrontal perspective, then you should be able to bend then slightly to fin into the wings correctly. Perhaps I am missing something, but I don't see any other issue other than the seams. Regardless, Felix (@fxrob), I am sure you will be able to work it out.

You shouldn't be upset with yourself, Felix @fxrob
A pity it wouldn't close up nicely but I'm sure you will fix those seams nicely.
