    I fully agree on gluing the elevators at a certain position, my friend @johnb! A rotating prop is the most I can "tolerate" (and not always 🙂 )

    Revell did choose to create a one piece element to create the air intakes. Very inventive and easy to mount.
    Most work is still on the nose, a lot of sanding and puttying to get the nose cone fit nicely on the fuselage.

    Hello guys, it's been a while was not there, I'm busy with another project for the moment, restoring a pilot helmet HGU-26. I'm amazed with the diorama from @lis, it's really a gem!

    And John @johnb your progress are really nice. Regarding the air intakes, on my G model (the 909) I did exactly the same but I struggled a bit when gluing the surfaces of the wings, so for the Belle I cut them piece by piece in order to have them correct.

    In the men time I succeeded to ruined the Belle while applying the wash oil on the under surfaces. Most of the stencils are gone and the paint is really washed. That's why I'm not posting anymore I'm a bit discouraged...

    I am sure you will find a way to sort out your "overwash" discrepancies, my friend @yann!

    @yann, thanks a lot, Yann.
    A pitty to hear about your Belle, maybe if you give it a rest for a moment, you can come up with a solution.

    The wing halves (upper to lower half) did fit great and they equally fitted great to the fuselage.
    Glue is drying and I did forbid my family members to come near the aircraft for the next couple of hours.

    Wings did settle nicely and no need to make corrections on the wing to fuselage connection.

    This is definitely not the same for the nose mounting, this requires more work than expected.
    Current status seen below, trying to smoothen it as much as possible with wet sanding.

    Nice wings attachment, my friend @johnb! The nose will look great after your work.
