Wings are ready. All fits quite good. Very small amount of liquid putty arround air intakes over engine covers.

Looking great, Bernard (@lis). The engines look like they have some good detail. Multiple engines always raise the level of complexity. At least there are only 2 to deal with on this model.

A little problem with sanding engine cowlings. To make it more smooth I remove all paint, give some putty and then repaint with primer and next burned iron. Engine don’t look to much metallic under cowlings? I give some wash under cowlings to make it more flat, used in look.

Excellent job, my friend @lis! A wash will make the engines look just right.

@lis your choice of kits - Wellington, Mosquito, Beaufort, etc. - is exactly the kind of planes i like to build 🙂 Next could be a Beaufighter!
In regards to the cowlings, i struggled there a lot. The gaps bothered me big time. But your engines look lovely!

An exceptional tail, must have been to get it more stable I guess.

@johnb If I remember IJN torpedos in Pearl Harbour with similar adapter it was for shallow draft of torpedo in shallow waters, for example at a naval base. However, apart from a few missions with such a draft stabilizer (attack of German Battleships in naval base), it shouldn't be present all the time? However, in photos I often saw torpedoes with this element attached to Beauforts. I decided to do it because it is an interesting element and perhaps the 489th squadron also practiced such attacks?

@lis, you are right, Bernard. Nice addition to this torpedo and it will look great once applied to the Beaufort.
