Lovely progress, lis @lis. This kit is superbly constructed, one of Airfix‘ finest imho. The landing gear is proof of that. Everything just fits! Looking forward to seeing your paintjob!

THis looks excellent @lis. It makes me consider returning to my Tamiya conversion for the British version of this PR bird. Thanks for sharing.

Here's a pic of the Mosquito preserved at the USAF National Museum, my friend @lis...

. I assume it is correct, so I would go for your first US Navy Blue FS15050.

Primed, polished by Tamiya Compound Fine, and prepared for invasion stripes.

PS. What Do You think about flat white? Isn’t it too flat?

White over black is always tricky. Even over grey, it can be difficult. When I did my Hudson's white over grey, it took more coats than I would have preferred. I think in the future, for large areas of white, I will prime and paint with white and then rely upon oil weathering to tone down the white areas so they are not so bright. IN your photos, it looks like you might want to add another coat, mainly to reduce the "greyness" factor. No reflection on your work as it looks great.

The white looks good to me, Bernard @lis
I think after weathering, it will look perfect.

Captain @lis, that white needs to be flat. It’s just right!
