Work going on. Landing lights I have to hand paint. the construction is complex, because there is an internal bulb with a socket and a lampshade. that's why I painted the Binding in matt black. You can see the bulb well. Airframe is complete. I put some clear windows on place. The cover of the opening after the lower mounted turret required a small plastic spacer because it fell too deep into the fuselage.

I've been in purgatory when it comes to getting to the bench, too busy chasing a dollar and attending to family matters.
However, @lis reading your further adventures in modeling is a real pick me up and it keeps the modeling fires burning.
The Airfix kit is a real winner and your making it stand proud. Who would've know a modeler reading the instructions? Outrageous. A manufacture making a mistake, shocking. The wrong colors in the bomb bay, hard to believe. The truth is, this is a hobby and you learn as you go. The end result will still look good and like soccer, you can always get another kick at goal. Or another good excuse to build a model and paint the appropriate colors. Modeling is organic and evolves for those care to learn. Two thumbs up @lis.

I've squirrel away several of these kits and your showing why they should be built.

    Dear Stephen @stephen-w-towle
I second your thoughts and i would like to add how impressed i was with your remarks regarding it being a hobby ultimately. I tend to forget about that aspect of scale modelling every now and then! 🙂 It is truly like football (hehe), just get another go at it and enjoy the process.

@stephen-w-towle We have another malfunction in Airfix manual. Strange part E6 from sprue that not exist on "B" version.
Engines are ready. I have few days on the route, so work goes slowly.

@fiveten @johnb This is the best pair of engines that I bulid under Arifix brand. Nice moulded. Great details.
PS. I had to rebuild one engine, because I glued shutter in wrong position.

Today I use bronze main gear struts from aftermarket set. I was worried about this step but ale fits good. I used CA glue.

Wise choice to use CA to mount them.
