Yes it was per Italeri manual. I think this part has sth with winter version of Junkers. That two cowlings has only version from Stalingrad.

Edit:
I made quick research, and it looks like this cowling is unnecessary. Pity, because I have some fit issues with this cowling.

I look forward to seeing that snow @lis. I have been thinking about doing a snowy diorama too for a phoney war theme. How do you paint your figures? With the airbrush?
