It’s quite small model indeed. Your homemade masks are pretty cool Csaba, looking forward for next update
I agree with our friend @holzhamer, @pikofix! Your homemade masks are super! Now the I saw your model, eagerness is rising to se it put together!
Thank you @fiveten and @holzhamer. I had a reason to leave the project in this stage - I still consider making the rivets. The riveting lines were very visible on the original, but you are right, the model is tiny. It would be impossible to use a riveting tool on the assembled model, simply because of its small size. I will take a look on the scale drawings, and see what is possible in this scale. I think I will go for a somewhat simplified riveting layout.
I am waiting for my airbrush spare parts, so the Po-2 build is on hold, unfortunately. I started measuring the rivet positions, and taking notes. It will be a long process, and I am unable to reproduce all of them in this scale.
I can feel that Csaba. It’s a very complex rivet pattern to replicate in small scales, up to 1/48 I have my Regianne slowly building also because of the complex riveting the plane presents. I’ll probably do a ‘summarized’ version of the full pattern
Looks like a long process indeed, my friend @pikofix!
@holzhamer yes, it is a complex pattern. It was such an important feature of the original plane. that I decided to make it in 1:72 scale as well. I have never did a whole plane - let´s see if I succeed.
@fiveten - I plan to simplify it a bit, this scale is simply too small for making everything .
@pikofix I’m sure you will do more than succeed Csaba! Go for it
