That is a lot of stencilling, Spiros @fiveten. Must be really hard to handle this bird for putting them on the correct location.
It indeed is challenging to position this bird, in order to apply all that stencilling, a lot of which must be affixed in awkward locations, my friend @johnb! Good thing is that the stencilling adds life to this big bird!
Great outcome, Spiros @fiveten. Are you able to reduce the silvering by applying a matt / satin coat?
Thanks my friend @johnb! Yep, the final coat usually lessens the silvering effect...
Instrument panel installed:
Nice steps, Spiros @fiveten Those nozzles are painted very realistic. The IP looks great as well, first I see that the IP is on the transparant sprue.
Thanks my friend @johnb! I was somehow sceptic for the transparent IP with the "film" instrument faces under it, but turned out sufficient. Some rework needs to be done regarding silvering, especially at bigger decals.
The seat is under preparation, I believe it will look sufficient under the closed canopy:
Absolutely more than sufficient, Spiros. @fiveten Especially the buckles look very realistic.
Thanks my friend @johnb!
This kit's PE fret was made from sort of thin stainless steel, not brass, so I left the buckles unpainted :-). Next will be installation of the red ejection handle and a couple of other handles (I believe they should be the "quick release" ones), then some corrections and touchups necessary to the seat (as it can be obviously seen at the above pic: many areas need retouching...)
The Sukhoi is progressively put together: I added the flaperons at "relaxed" position...
Well done Spiros @fiveten Those lowered flaperons bring some action, less static, in those "relaxed" positions.
