    Some presheaiding.

PS. I have no idea about color of spinner. Manual suggest red. photo is black and white, so all deep color could be there.

Finally I decide to use polishing compound. Grey primer was a little lighter after that.

All the time I was disapointed with result, and made some more correction. I disciovet that polishing compound can highlight lines of darker lines if you much more polishing this places. Sometime it is easier than airbush.

After short brake, work going on with desert camo pattern. But I forgot to take photo of Azure Blue undersurfaces 🙁 John Lynch spitfire had so may variations of interpretation of painting so You could get headache! despite the fact that there are at least a few pictures of this machine, everything is a guess. in the end, I decided to do as I see fit based on scientific guesswork. First, I rejected the original paint thesis in the standard Day Fighter pattern, despite the fact that it does not have a tropical filter. Since there are photos of a similar machine in Malta (without filter), I set up a tropical scheme as the base. Next I will put Extra dark sea gray on it. I thought about the color of the spinner for a long time, but in the end I painted it in standard red, which coincides with a few silhouettes available on the Internet, and also seems attractive to me, considering that the previous constructions had an extra dark sea spinner gray. I dismissed DK Decals' suggestion that the inside of the main gear covers were red. It seemed too wild and impractical for the operation itself, not to mention the painting. I hope You will like it.

Love your approach regarding what kind of painting was where, also love the result so far, my friend @lis!

@fiveten in addition, I am pretty sure that the EP829 aircraft number has been repainted by hand, which is due to the not very technical looking font.
PS. Middle Stone was put on model, and first layout of painting is done.

    Great painting, Lis @lis
Font of the aircraft number does indeed look 'weird'.
