Well these are quite some challenges to overcome with this kit, David @kahu
My experiences with Kinetic kits so far are good, so I am bit surprised and also worried about the K48100 waiting in my stash to be my next contribution to the GB.
At least I will make sure to reread your posts in this thread!

Yes this and the Kinetic F-16I have fit issues and instructions that were seemingly written by the IRS, but taking things slowly should avoid most pitfalls.

Now to document more pitfalls. Yay.

Part A7 in Step 4 has an alignment circle that is supposed to ensure it attaches to the rear upper fuselage. Remove it. Aft fuselage has a nice lip to glue A7 to. Without that circle can press the parts more firmly together and lessen the seam. Here we install either part C59 for MLU or C58 for non-MLU. With C58 glued in I had to use Tamiya putty because there was a 1/2mm gap on all sides.

Note: ignore part E6 though it looks like C59.

Speaking of seams, Step 7 will introduce you to a whole host of possible seams to bedevil the modeler. We join the fuselage halves in this step and install the various optional side panels in front of windscreen.

The upper fuselage chine overlaps the lower fuselage chine. In my experience with the F-16I using tape will not work to maintain adequate pressure to keep the parts close while the glue sets. Plus I wasn't paying as much attention to this area like I am with the F-16AM. Clamps will only for the back part on each side. The curve of the upper chine defeats clamps so I had to physically hold the parts close while applying glue. Following photos will show this.

Finally one more bit of info. As the halves are being test fitted look at the fuselage where the speed brakes are. On the F-16I and this kit the lower fuselage angles out a little here. Nothing major, just noticeable. A little sanding should fix it.

Excellent job on this challenging kit, my friend @kahu! Hope fit issues will be less from now on.

Seems like this is not an easy kit so far, David @kahu

    John @johnb - no it isn't.

Had to add strips of sheet plastic to the bottoms of C10 and C12 to fix their gap. And keep finding unnumbered parts in instructions, latest is the strut that opens the nose gear door, part C8, on Step 12. Nor are C56 or C57 identified, guess Kinetic assumes the ventral fins are easy to ID, but wait each has an angled tab so each can only go on one side. Not glued mine yet but I think I got the calls right on instructions.

Starts to look like a puzzle this way, David @kahu
The strips are a nice addition.

I hate it when a model fights back, David @kahu. I find it is useful to try motivating the kit with some calming music, and if that doesn't work, I have found hugging and kissing the parts have a positive effect. :o)

The Kinetic instructions seem to be a Mystical Experience, adding to the difficulty of the kit, my friend @kahu!

It is an enigma wrapped up in a puzzle that one thinks is a model kit.

Strangely the Kinetic F-16I Sufa instructions clearly calls out the strut C8. Am a bit worried now about my Kinetic FRS.1 Sea Harrier and T.4/8 Harrier.

Hi David (@kaku). I also have several Kinetic kits that look really nice in the box, but modelers who have built them all seem to find major problems. They may sit on the shelf for a while more.

    George @gblair

I fully understand the sentiment as this is my second attempt at a first gen Kinetic F-16.

Well things keep getting more and more fun, this time it is the nozzle. As in fit issues and fuzzy instructions.

Very much thinking of removing that lip inside J4, glue J11 to J5, and then get one with building kit.
