    Well a quick up date.
Finally got my a*s into gear to get some painting done.
After it seems an eternity things are taken shape.
A couple of coats of Ocean Grey and left to dry.
Also removed some of the liquid masking ready to finish of the camo, tomorrow hopefully.
The drop tank is about done apart from minor details.
Engine needs a coat of satin varnish.
Still a bit to do but I can see the light at the end of the tunnel now.

    Hey guess what?
    Yes you are right.
I finally got a little bit done today.
Touched up the nose/engine cowling ( cocked up when spraying the Grey on.)
Also painted the fuel tank and wheels aluminium XF16.
Spray the prop tips and bomb bands yellow.
The got on to laying over some Dark Green XF81.
I am try to replicate the field applied camo used at this time.
Hope to get more done on Sunday.

    Simon.

    Getting there slowly.

I don`t know about that Joe, more the case of bloody mindedness.
It has come close to flying out the window once or twice.

    Anyhow, a quick update.
After not getting much time on Sunday on the bench, I did try a different approach to the camo.
After inspection by W/C Biggles ( my good wife Rose ) she said that the second attempt was better.
So Tuesday I hope to give another coat of Ocean Grey the apply the Dark Green.

Until then Be safe or don`t get caught.

    I think Rose is spot on Simon, your second effort captures the "hazy" look of the camo much better. Keep at and of course follow W/C Biggles orders to the letter..;-) {I have a Boss/Warden too, my wife Karen..lol}

    Quick update.
A blow over of Grey then some random patches of Dark Green.
May not follow the art work but who gives a s***.
Camo patterns were random when applied in the field, especially around that time.
Next job D.Day markings, plus the C/O markings to be sprayed.

So, what's the latest, Simon? I've been following this with interest as I'm keen on building a P47, can't wait to see the finished article.
