One of iModeler's strengths is its ability to accept images directly off your camera. For security reasons (image processing is heavy on server's resources), the image upload lightbox has the limits both in number of files and the maximum size of each file. Hitherto these have been set to a maximum of 50 files 5 MB each - that's up to 0,25 GB in a single upload, which for most purposes is a very comfortable figure!

Alas, digital cameras get improved all the time which inevitably means ever-larger file sizes. For this reason, we're increasing the image file size to an even higher limit to 8MB.

Please note that once your image is uploaded, iModeler will scale it down automatically for the web and then discard the larger original. We are currently using 1024px as the default image resolution for viewing, which renders large, crisp and rapidly loading images not only comfortable for viewing at this site, but also suitable for linking from other forums.
