Hill 60 is about half an hour drive from where I live. It is near the WWI front line at Ypers in Belgium. Every time I get there I walk towards a mine Crater nearby as silent witness of its violent genesis.

Lest we forget the young lives lost in the trenches here in Flanders fields. Thanks for posting Peter.

Jeff @ mikegolf, this movie came out in 2010. It was released in DVD format in the Us in 2011. Might be able to find it on Amazon or other movie download sites. Not sure.

Still have not seen this movie, and still learning about its history. Yesterday was the first time I heard about Hill 60.

@tecko this is the crater I mentioned.

Everytime I visit Hill 60, I go there through the fields, about 300m from the road.

I sit there for some ten minutes and I watch the little pond and the tree mourning those no longer with us. I can't help but become touched everytime, may it never happen again.

Thanks for posting these links about my country and the Ypres battles of WWI.
